I love the outdoors and have spent a large portion of my life exploring the areas accessible to me and searching for the wildlife that lives there. Southeastern Pennsylvania has been my home since I was 11 years old. However, most of the photographs displayed on this website were taken on and around Smith Mountain Lake, which is located in southwestern Virginia. The lake is a virtual wonderland for boaters, fishermen, and other outdoor types. Many of the picture opportunities were presented to me while I was fishing or hiking.

First and last light have always intrigued me. I find them stunningly beautiful. Since I am an early bird, quite a few of the pictures were taken during those glorious moments when the light was either just creeping into view or fading behind the treeline.
